Interfering with a Motor Vehicle in Chelveston

Dear Member

We are appealing for information after damage was caused to a car parked in Water Lane, Chelveston. Unknown person/s caused damaged to the windshield and trims of the vehicle. It appears that someone either attempted to steal the trims or gain entry to the vehicle, which was unsuccessful.

This incident occurred between 6pm on Thursday, 8 February and 10.12am on Friday, 9 February.

Did you witness anything? Did you see anyone or any vehicle(s) in the area that looked suspicious? If so, then please contact Northamptonshire Police on 101 quoting ref: 24000081699. Alternatively you can report online here.

There are some simple but effective things you can do to help protect your vehicle:

Vehicle:

  • Park your car in a garage or driveway if possible, or on a busy, well-lit road.  Choose a ParkMark® accredited public car park wherever possible
  • Physically check your central locking system has activated to ensure the signal hasn’t been blocked and the car left unlocked
  • Store keys for keyless entry cars in a RFID pouch or foil lined tin to block signal from scanners that will remotely unlock your car e.g Defender Signal Blocker
