Theft from vehicles.

We are currently experiencing a increase in thefts from Motor Vehicles over the last few days, in the area of Wellingborough and surrounding villages.

When parking your vehicles please make sure you secure your vehicle and if possible do not leave any valuables on show.

Over the last 7 days we have had 12 reports of thefts from Motor Vehicles or attempts.

There are some simple but effective things you can do to help protect your vehicle:

Park your car in a garage or driveway if possible, or on a busy, well-lit road. Choose a ParkMark® accredited public car park wherever possible

Never leave anything on display in your car. The cost to repair damage to the vehicle will usually exceed the value of the theft

Drivers of some Toyota and Honda vehicles and some 4 x 4’s should install measures to deter theft of catalytic converts e.g Catloc | Catalytic Convertor Theft Protection
