Business Burglary Upper Higham Lane, East Northants


 

Dear Resident

We are appealing for information about a burglary at a The CARS BROTHERS DEPOT on Upper Higham Lane, Higham Ferrers. The burglary happened on 17th July 2024 between times 00:10hrs and 00:16hrs.

The offender or offenders forced entry into secure buildings, nothing was stolen at this time but could have possible been a scouting expedition.As this is a rural location please ensure your buildings are as secure as they can be.

Be vigilant for suspicious activity.

Business burglary

  • Ensure your premises are alarmed. If you are in a remote location, your alarm should be remotely monitored and any confirmed activations forwarded directly to police for response.
  • Make sure your premises has good lighting covering access points and dark or hidden areas
  • Invest in CCTV to deter and detect crime
  • Retailers should leave their tills empty overnight with till drawer left open to avoid any damage
  • Valuable items should be stored within a securely locked cupboard/cage within the building
