Theft of a Keyless Car

A Blue Volvo XC90 Pro T8 was stolen from a driveway Fitzwilliam Leys Higham Ferrers

Registration DA69FFM

  Occurrence Number 24000591540

Between 3rd October 22:00hrs and 4th October 06:50hrs

Using Signal boosting technology offenders have driven off in the above car. The tracking system was mostlikely removed near to the scene of the theft.

Members of Face book around Windermere Drive and Grassmere way Higham ferrers have posted about suspicious activity around 02:00hrs.

If this was you please call in and report in what you have seen quoting the above occurrence number.

We are appealing for information .

Did you witness anything? Did you see anyone or any vehicle(s) in the area that looked suspicious? If so, then please contact Northamptonshire Police on 101 quoting ref: 24000591540. Alternatively you can report online here.

You can also pass on information anonymously to the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.

There are some simple but effective things you can do to help protect your vehicle:

Vehicle:

  • Park your car in a garage or driveway if possible, or on a busy, well-lit road.  Choose a ParkMark® accredited public car park wherever possible
  • Physically check your central locking system has activated to ensure the signal hasn’t been blocked and the car left unlocked
  • Store keys for keyless entry cars in a RFID pouch or foil lined tin to block signal from scanners that will remotely unlock your car e.g Defender Signal Blocker
