Attempted Burglary in Latchet lane

Dear Resident

We are appealing for information about a burglary at a property on Latchet lane in Upton, Northamtpon. The burglary happened on 6th October 2024 between 00:35 am and 00:40 am.

The offenders have tried to force entry by using a crow bar to attack the backdoor of the property.

Business burglary

Ensure your premises are alarmed. If you are in a remote location, your alarm should be remotely monitored and any confirmed activations forwarded directly to police for response.

Make sure your premises has good lighting covering access points and dark or hidden areas

Invest in CCTV to deter and detect crime

Retailers should leave their tills empty overnight with till drawer left open to avoid any damage

Valuable items should be stored within a securely locked cupboard/cage within the building
