Appeal for information following racially aggravated incident in Corby

Dear Resident,

Police investigating a racially aggravated public order incident in Corby are appealing for information.

At around 8pm on Monday, October 7, a resident in Gainsborough Road was disturbed by a group of young people banging on their front door.

When the householder asked them to stop, one of the group shouted a racist comment before they all ran off.

The eight children involved are all described as white, with the youngest appearing around eight years old and the rest aged between 16 and 18.

Most were male and were wearing black or grey tracksuits, with one female described as wearing a white jumper and having dark straight shoulder-length hair.

Anyone with information about the incident, including relevant CCTV or smart doorbell footage, is asked to call Northamptonshire Police on 101, or Crimestoppers on 0800 555111.
