Witness Appeal - Dog bite (Brackmills country park, Gt Houghton)

Police Officers are appealing for witnesses following a dog bite on a 10 year old girl in the Brackmills Country Park which is situated off of Salthouse Road on the Brackmills industrial estate, Northampton.

The incident happened on Saturday, 9th November between 10:30 & 11:00am when the victim was walking on a path which runs around crescent lake. The victim was approached by medium to large size dog with long black and white fur (potentially a sheep dog or Bernese Mountain dog). We believe the dog’s name may be “Theo”. The dog ran towards the victim and jumped up and bit her, causing a puncture wound to the skin. Thankfully the injuries sustained were minor, and they are expected to make a full recovery.

Did you witness anything? Or are you aware of who the owner of the dog may be? If so, then please contact Northamptonshire Police on 101 quoting 24000670335. Alternatively you can report online here .

You can also pass on information anonymously to the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
