Dear Resident Northamptonshire Police has two Neighbourhood Beat buses which help to boost police visibility and provide the public with greater access to local officers in towns and villages across the county. These dedicated neighbourhood vehicles are used for regular surgeries and community visits, with one vehicle allocated to each of the North and West Local Policing Areas (LPAs). They help our neighbourhood policing teams get closer to the public and their local communities.
The Beat Buses provide our officers and PCSOS with a mobile office, which enables them to be more accessible to local people and spend time in local communities. They provide a space for people to sit and chat to officers about the issues they have in their area. In our rural areas in particular, these are a great resource for local people to meet with officers and get to know their local policing teams. The Beat Buses are designed to bring policing closer to the community. They enable officers to visit different locations, and give local residents an opportunity to learn about crime prevention, report local issues, and share their perspectives directly with their local policing team. This mobile hub fosters communication, builds trust and supports a safer community for all. If you have any questions or concerns about crime or anti-social behaviour in your area, or want to find out more about our local priorities, how we set them and what we are doing to address them, please drop in and have a chat. Or just call in to say hello.
Look out for details about when your team will be in your area here and on social media. You can also sign up to our Northamptonshire Talking messaging service to be notified when they will be visiting a location near you. | ||||
