Calling all young people as cadet recruitment opens Dear Resident The Cadet recruitment window is now open for their September 2025 intake and young people across the county are being encouraged to do something amazing with their time and join up to the Northamptonshire Emergency Service Cadets (NESC).

Those successful in joining the cadet scheme: Receive training in all elements of emergency services.Learn transferable skills such as excellent communication tools and broaden your knowledge of public services.Make positive contributions towards public safety.Meet new and interesting people and develop new friendships.Open up opportunities for future careers in any of the three services
There are currently six cadet units running in Northamptonshire who meet once a week.
If you are aged between 13-18 (school years 9 - 13) and are interested in learning more about the scheme and how you can apply to be a cadet here northants.police.uk/cadets
