At 14.15 hours on Tuesday 18/3/2025 a woman entered a Charity shop in Rushden High Street near to its junction with Queen Street and went behind the serving counter to point out to a staff member an item that was on display. Whilst doing so she place a folder she was carrying over a mobile phone that was by the till, enabling her to pick up the phone up without the staff member noticing. This distraction technique is often used in cafes and restaurants when people have put their phones down onto a table. The woman is described as a white female, slim build, with a swarthy complexion aged about 30 with long straight black hair wearing a long black jacket and grey trousers, she spoke very little English and had an eastern European accent. Should you have any information or CCTV footage that may assist us with our enquiries, please call 101 quoting the Crime Ref. No 25000157835. Many thanks, Peter Littleton PCSO 7098 | ||||
