Thank you for signing up to Northamptonshire Talking, a safe space for you to have your say on local priorities and keep in contact with your local neighbourhood policing teams. 

As the Chief Constable of Northamptonshire Police, Ivan Balhatchet’s primary objective is to make Northamptonshire safer —a place where communities feel supported, and the most vulnerable members of our society are protected. In collaboration with Danielle Stone, our commissioner, we will continue to raise standards and strengthen our engagement with local communities by being more visible and actively listening to people’s concerns and ideas on how we can improve. Through Northamptonshire Talking, we can work to achieve these goals and put people first.

Accessing Your Local Pages

Accessing your local pages can be easily available through the Northamptonshire Talking home page here  Home Page - Northamptonshire Talking where you can look up your local policing teams by entering your postcode, which will take you to the required page. On each local page, you can find the contact information for all members of your local Neighbourhood Policing team, as well as information where applicable for the rural policing teams. You can send queries to your local team via this page.

Contacting Your Local Team

Your local teams can send information out to everyone in a selected area about local incidents, information requests and local events they are holding. You will receive these messages via your email, and you can reply and send messages directly to your team in response, or to ask for further information. The local neighbourhood teams are dedicated to engaging with their communities, in order to understand local priorities and implement strategies to improve key issues identified.

Local Priorities

You can have your say about your local priorities by filling out a survey which will be emailed to you and is also accessible via the home page. Having your say allows the teams to focus on issues that are important to you and your community. You will also have the opportunity to fill out different surveys and have your say on different matters at other times as well. 

Community Engagements

The teams also run local events such as surgeries, the beat bus, and attend local town and parish council meetings. You will receive messages via email about these events and are an amazing way to meet your local officers in person, and chat to them about your local priorities.
