Force Open Day - Update

Dear Resident

I’m reaching out to let you know that during the upcoming Community Open Day, there will be an opportunity to have your push bikes security marked — free of charge. 

The marking process involves applying a stencil or QR code to the bike frame, which is then recorded along with the bike’s frame number and the owner’s contact details. This allows officers to quickly identify whether a bike is stolen and, if so, who it belongs to, enabling a much faster return to the rightful owner. 
We encourage all bike owners to take advantage of this valuable service.

Come along and meet your local emergency service personnel as they demonstrate what they do to keep the people of Northamptonshire safe at two Community Open Days this July.

The  event will be held on Sunday July 27 in Delapre Abbey in Northampton between 11:00 and 16:00 and the  event is free to enter.

Northamptonshire Police, Northamptonshire Fire and Rescue Service and the Office of the Police Fire and Crime Commissioner Danielle Stone will all be in attendance ready to welcome you. Our valued partners will also be at the event to talk to you about the services they offer. Members of the public will be able to get on board the Joint Command Unit, get an up-close look at operational kit and get safety advice from a variety of departments and teams across the services.

The highlight of the day will be the display arena, where you will be able to see Police dogs at work, Fire Cadets doing drills and even Police with tasers showing off their skills and equipment. Whether people are interested in joining the emergency services, or just want to find out more about what they do to keep you safe, there is something for everyone.
