🎃 Halloween Safety & Crime Prevention 🎃 |
||||
Dear Resident
As we approach Halloween, your Neighbourhood Policing Team just want to share a few friendly reminders to help everyone enjoy the festivities safely and responsibly. Halloween should be fun for all ages — and with a bit of awareness, we can make sure it stays that way.
👧 For Children 👧 Kids, we know Halloween is one of the best nights of the year — dressing up, trick-or-treating, and collecting sweets! But remember a few golden rules: And of course, don’t eat sweets until a grown-up’s had a quick look!
🧑🎓 For Teenagers 🧑🎓 For our older trick-or-treaters and those heading out with friends — please have fun, but remember to be considerate. Think about how your actions might make others feel — especially the elderly or those who live alone. We’d much rather have a friendly chat than deal with something that’s gone too far.
🧓 For Older or Vulnerable Residents 🧓 We understand that Halloween isn’t for everyone, and some people prefer not to have visitors. If you’d rather not take part, you can display a ‘No Trick or Treat’ poster in your window — you can print one from the Northamptonshire Police website or collect one from your local station. If anyone does cause a nuisance, please don’t open the door — call us on 101, or 999 in an emergency. You’re not alone — our team will be out on patrol throughout the evening to keep our neighbourhoods safe and friendly.
🏠 For All Residents 🏠 👮 Closing Message 👮 As your local Neighbourhood Policing Team, we want everyone to enjoy Halloween safely and with respect for others. This time of year brings people together — families, neighbours, and friends.
We know that a little bit of noise and excitement is all part of the fun, but let’s all do our part to make sure our actions don’t spoil anyone else’s evening. Small gestures — like being polite at doors, looking out for younger trick-or-treaters, and checking in on neighbours who might be nervous — can make a huge difference. Our officers and PCSOs, , will be out on foot patrol throughout Halloween. You’ll see us in your streets and neighbourhoods, keeping an eye out and saying hello. Please don’t hesitate to stop us for a chat, share any concerns, or even just show off your costumes — we love seeing the creativity that comes out at this time of year!
If you do spot anything that doesn’t seem right, whether it’s anti-social behaviour or suspicious activity, please let us know. You can speak to us directly, contact us through 101, or use 999 in an emergency. Every bit of information helps us keep our community safe. Halloween is a brilliant opportunity to show that Northamptonshire is a place where people care for one another — where families can have fun, children can feel safe, and everyone feels part of the community. Together, we can make sure the night is full of treats, not tricks. Thank you all for your time, for your cooperation, and for helping us make this Halloween enjoyable and safe for everyone. Have a fantastic evening, stay safe, and look out for one another. 🎃 | ||||
