Burglary in Hillcrest Road, Gayton

Dear Resident

We are appealing for information about a burglary at the village hall on Hillcrest Road, Gayton, Northampton. The burglary happened between 8am on the 19th February and 10.30am on the 21st February 2026.

The offender or offenders gain entry to the property by breaking a window, items were not stolen from the property.

Business burglary

Ensure your premises are alarmed. If you are in a remote location, your alarm should be remotely monitored and any confirmed activations forwarded directly to police for response.

Make sure your premises has good lighting covering access points and dark or hidden areas

Invest in CCTV to deter and detect crime

Retailers should leave their tills empty overnight with till drawer left open to avoid any damage

Valuable items should be stored within a securely locked cupboard/cage within the building
