DearResident With the warmer weather approaching, we’re encouraging everyone to take a few simple steps to help keep yourselves, your homes, and our community safe. As people spend more time outdoors, opportunistic crime can increase. Please remember to: Keep doors and windows secure, especially when leaving the house or spending time in the garden.Avoid leaving valuables on display, including in vehicles.Lock sheds, garages, and outbuildings, and secure bikes with good-quality locks .Be mindful of who may be around when posting on social media about holidays or time away. We also want everyone to stay safe and well in the warmer conditions: Stay hydrated and use sun protection when outdoors. Take care when using BBQs – keep them away from buildings, fences, and dry grass, and never leave them unattended.Ensure children and pets are supervised around water, including paddling pools.Check on elderly or vulnerable neighbours during hot weather. If you see anything suspicious, please report it. In an emergency, always call 999. Should you wish to share any information or raise concerns, please feel free to reply directly to this message.
Finally, we would really appreciate it if you could take a moment to rate this message, as your feedback helps us improve how we communicate with you. Thank you for your continued support in helping keep our community safe.
