Dear Residents,

We have received reports of suspicious individual targeting vulnerable residents in the area.

In one incident an unknown male in Silver 4x4 (unknown registration) has parked by a nearby store and spoke with an IP who came out of the store. Unknown male was stating he was lost, then offered to take IP home in their car and given them brand new watches. IP then returned watches back to the male who was still sitting outside their house.

Incident occurred in REYNARD WAY on the 15/05/26 after 9:15 am

Please be aware :

Criminals may use gifts, jewellery, watches or stores about being stranded or needing help as a way to gain trust.

Once trust is established, they may attempt to enter property, identify valuables, distract residents and obtain money and personal information.

Vulnerable and elderly residents are often specifically targeted.

Safety Advice

Do not invite strangers into your home

Be cautious of anyone offering expensive items for free or at unusually low price.

Never hand over cash, bank cards, or personal details to unexpected callers.

Report suspicious behaviour immediately to police on 101, or 999 in an emergency.
