School Parking Safety Reminder for Parents and Guardians

Dear Resident

As we continue to work together to keep our children safe, we would like to remind all parents and guardians of the importance of safe and considerate parking when dropping off and collecting children from school.

Please remember to:

Park legally and responsibly at all times.

Avoid stopping on zig-zag markings, double yellow lines, or in areas where parking restrictions apply.

Do not park across driveways, junctions, or where your vehicle may obstruct pedestrians, cyclists, or other road users.

Use designated parking areas where available and allow extra time for your journey.

Encourage children to use safe crossing points and avoid crossing between parked vehicles.

Be mindful of local residents and ensure access to homes and businesses is not obstructed.

Keep speeds low when driving near the school and remain vigilant for children who may step into the road unexpectedly.

Unsafe parking can place children, families, and other road users at unnecessary risk. By parking responsibly and setting a positive example, we can all help create a safer environment for everyone at the start and end of the school day.
