The Neighbourhood Alert messaging system enables residents, businesses and community groups to keep in touch with local policing teams. You can choose to receive updates on crimes, latest information on on-going incidents and learn more about what events are being planned in your area. You can also respond to messages to ask questions or give feedback to your local policing team.

You're invited to sign up and become a registered recipient of messages relevant to the area where you live or work.

We also offer you the opportunity to choose the type of messages you wish to receive.

The new priorities for this period (April to September) are: •Road safety •Drug dealing and misuse •Burglary Issued 01 July 2025	Our priorities are set for a six month period and reviewed every three months to ensure we continue to deal with what matters most to local people, taking account of feedback shared in our local priorities survey and local crime data. Road Safety & Road Traffic Offences Issued 01 October 2024	You Said, We Did - October 2024 - March 2025 •We have completed several speed gun patrols in the areas that were highlighted by the community as being areas of concern. We have issued warning letters where appropriate and fixed penalty notices to others for speeding offences •16 vehicles have been seized due to motoring offences like no insurance or no MOT •15 arrests have been made for offences such as drink and drug driving •50 fixed penalty notices for offences such as speeding and poor driving standards have been issued •Working alongside both the local council and school staff, we have carried out numerous parking patrols outside local schools, issuing tickets to offending vehicles Actioned 01 April 2025
Drug Dealing & Drug Misuse Issued 01 October 2024	You Said, We Did - October 2024 - March 2025 •44 arrests have been made relating to drug offences with many coming from community intelligence •Numerous drug warrants have been conducted following intelligence being received from the community. This includes the dismantling of cannabis factories located within the town •Regular cuckooing checks continue to be carried out at the addresses of those identified as being vulnerable to exploitation by drug dealers Actioned 01 April 2025
